Ethiopia
Tamiro Tadesse is a single-origin Ethiopian lot grown by producer Tamiru Tadesse in the Bensa woreda of the Sidama zone, cupping with black cherry depth, honey sweetness, and a mango finish. Tadesse farms in one of Ethiopia's most decorated coffee-growing pockets, and this lot carries his name directly, a mark of the kind of producer-level traceability that's become a genuine selling point in Ethiopian specialty coffee over the last several years.
Before he was a coffee producer, Tadesse worked as a university professor and electrical engineer — a career path that makes his later, highly decorated return to his family's coffee land in Bensa somewhat unusual among Ethiopian producers, most of whom farm coffee as a multi-generational trade rather than a second career. That background hasn't slowed him down: lots from his farm have gone on to place at the top of national competition, and DABOV also carries a separate, anaerobic-processed lot from the same grower, Ethiopia Alo Mosto, alongside a numbered collectible release of this exact lot, Star Coffees Vol. 7.
It's a cup suited to drinkers who want Ethiopia's classic fruit-driven register with a specific, traceable producer story behind it rather than a blended regional lot. Tamiro Tadesse sits in our Bright & Fruity collection.
