Honduras Geisha by DABOV is a light-roast, natural-processed Gesha coffee from the Chinacla highlands, grown by Cup of Excellence–winning farmers Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera. Gesha (also spelled Geisha) is the most sought-after coffee varietal in the world — a low-yielding, hard-to-grow cultivar that, in the right hands, produces some of the most distinctive cups in specialty coffee. This is DABOV's natural-processed Honduras lot: honey, peach, bergamot, and chamomile in a light, floral, tea-like cup.

We source this Gesha coffee from the same Chinacla family farm behind our washed Honduras lots, but the natural process here is what sets it apart — drying the whole cherry in the sun instead of pulping it first pushes the cup toward more fruit and florality than a washed Gesha typically shows. Grown at 1,550 meters and from the 2024 harvest, it's a limited lot best reserved for slow, attentive brewing rather than an everyday pot.

Gesha's reputation was built in Panama, but the variety has spread to a handful of other Central American origins over the past fifteen-odd years as more farms took on its exacting growing requirements; this Chinacla lot is Honduras's answer to that trend, carrying the same floral, tea-like signature under a different terroir. It's part of our Rare Gesha Estates collection.
