Why we chose it?

Our coffee hunter Jordan Dabov selected Specialty Coffee Brazil #2 COE 2023 because it combines an extremely intense taste, a rich aroma, and sensual notes of mango, pineapple, and brown sugar that will transport you to the tropical landscapes of Brazil, revealed in every cup. Grown at an altitude of 1100m above sea level, this coffee boasts a delicate acidity that enhances its complex flavor profile.

Where does it come from?

The Ecoagrícola Café farm is located in the Chapada de Minas district in the southeastern part of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil – a region renowned for its fertile land ideal for specialty coffee cultivation. The farm employs innovative irrigation technology that supplies water directly to the roots of the coffee plants, ensuring optimal hydration while significantly reducing water consumption.

Chapada de Minas is known for its unique microclimate, which provides ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee. The region’s rich volcanic soil, combined with the high altitude, contributes to the coffee’s exceptional flavor and aroma. Ecoagrícola Café’s commitment to sustainable farming practices further enhances the quality and environmental impact of their coffee production.

Best brew?

We recommend preparing Specialty Coffee Brazil #2 COE 2023 using filter methods such as V60 or Chemex to fully appreciate its complex fruit nuances and the sweetness of mango, pineapple, and brown sugar. For espresso, Mr. Dabov suggests stirring it 10 times and drinking it in three equal sips: the first two sips will reveal intense flavors of mango and pineapple, while the third will highlight the brown sugar sweetness.
