The LINK is a 50–100g sample roaster built jointly by Nucleus Coffee Tools and Kaffelogic, and it's the official sample roaster of the World Coffee Roasting Championship (2024–2026) plus multiple regional roasting championships — a genuine competition credential, not a marketing label. It's aimed at green coffee buyers, quality-control teams, and roasters who need to evaluate a lot before committing to a container, not at production-scale roasting.

The LINK Studio software carries more than 1,000 preloaded roast curves, developed by Sam Corra, Director of Coffee at Sydney's ONA Coffee. Rather than requiring a user to build a profile from scratch, the companion app picks a starting profile based on the green coffee's bean density, so someone evaluating an unfamiliar lot at origin still gets a sensible roast curve on the first attempt.

Build quality reflects its travel use: a powder-coated steel roast unit with an aluminium roast chamber, a double-layer borosilicate glass hopper with a replaceable silicone seal, and a military-grade, water-resistant travel case for transport to farms, cupping labs, or competition venues. At 2.4–2.6kg for the roaster alone (8.4–8.8kg with the full case), it's built to be checked as luggage rather than shipped as freight. Pair it with a bag from the coffee roasters category to evaluate a green lot before deciding how to roast it at scale.
