Colombini's identity comes from how it's positioned rather than from one named farm, region, or altitude — like every coffee in Balanced Blends, it's built around consistency and roast decisions rather than showcasing a single origin's specific character.

Colombini ships only as a 2.2 lb bag — the one format decision that sets it apart from every other coffee in our Balanced Blends range. House Blend UNITY, House Blend Vertigo, and Impressions House Blend each offer a smaller 7 oz size alongside their large bag; Colombini's large-format-only positioning says something about who buys it: repeat brewers who already know they want volume, not a first taste.

Espresso and Drip, By the Numbers

The starting points below work as a baseline for any quality specialty-coffee blend, Colombini included — adjust from there to taste.

Ratio: 1:2 (18g in, 36g out) for espresso as a starting point.

Grind: Fine, adjusted until the shot runs 25–30 seconds.

Water temperature: 200°F (93°C) for both espresso and drip.

Drip or Pour-Over

Use a 1:16 ratio with a medium grind at 200°F (93°C) — a reasonable starting point for a break-room drip machine or a manual pour-over if you'd rather brew through this bulk bag one cup at a time.

Storage

A 2.2 lb bag holds a lot of coffee, which raises a real storage question. Keep it whole-bean, sealed airtight, and away from light and heat, and only grind the portion you're brewing in the next day or two — a bag this size will outlast a smaller one, but the beans at the bottom won't hold peak flavor as long as the ones you use first.
